a) To awaken and foster an informed interest in the history of the neighbourhood of the former Urban District of Esher
b) To bring together all persons and bodies having an interest in the history and antiquities of the District
c) To catalogue and make known the location of existing records, collections of manuscripts, printed material, illustrations and other documents relating to the District
d) To foster and encourage research into the history of the District and to record and publish findings
e) To arrange visits to places of historic, literary, archaeological or architectural interest
f) To collaborate with and support any other organisation which has similar interests to those mentioned above
