This photo is probably of the Silver Jubilee of George V in May 1935.

The road is thought to be Alexandra Road, Thames Ditton

The Thames Ditton Miniature Railway opened on June 2nd, 1957.  Malden and District Society of Model Engineers, formed in 1936, set up a number of very popular miniature railway tracks as an attraction at fetes and fairs in the Kingston and North Surrey area.  After the war, the Society decided to set up a permanent track, and in 1949 were offered a long term lease on land in Thames Ditton which could house the track and the Society’s clubhouse and engine shed.   The  railway opened with 7¼” Ground level track and locomotives Great Northern Atlantic 251 and County of Chester.
